This is truly one of the most amazing and interesting things I have ever read. Robin sounds like an amazing and intelligent person. Yes, she may have special issues that most of us do not have to deal with in life, and they may causes her difficulty in conforming in modern society. That being said, Robin can also appreciate certain subtleties and nuances of a life situation a person without Aspergers will NEVER experience as we rush around in our frantic lives. I can tell from her words that she is at peace with her life, and we can all learn from her. Most of the people I know rush around never taking the time to smell the roses (Or Chocolate smell, in Robin’s case!) Their success and failure are tied to their paycheck and not on the total enjoyment of their lives. Robin has the freedom from the overwhelming stimulation and overindulgences of our modern society.
I don’t feel sorry for Robin in the least! She’s one of the lucky one’s that can take the time to slowly experience new discoveries with childlike excitement! We should all thank her for sharing this personal story of her life so we can all better understand the positives (and negatives) of Aspergers. Robin should also understand there are people out here that love and care for her, she is never alone, and a truly special person!
